Bring It On Sports would like to congratulate Jordan Stalker from the Wollongong Mustangs on receiving a Gridiron Scholarship (American Football)  to Gardner Webb University in Boiling Springs North Carolina. Gardner Webb is a 1AA School and they play in the Big South Conference. Jordan will be playing on the Offensive Line and he will be enrolling into Gardner Webb University in January of 2013.

Jordan’s Football career began in 2011 as a Junior with the Wollongong Mustangs playing 7 man Football. He then went on to play 1 season of 11-man  Football and was selected to be a part of the Gridiron Australia Future Stars Program.

Jordan was then nominated to be on the IFAF World Development Team Training camp in January 2012 in Austin Texas where he got to practice and compete with some of the best Junior Players from all over the world.  Jordan then returned to Australia to play for the Australian Outback Junior National Team in their World Cup Qualification game against American Samoa. After Playing for Australia Jordan then worked with AustralianSenior Outback Offensive Line Coach Paul Manera to refine his skills with some one of one training sessions.  Jordan then sent film of himself to prospective Colleges to see if they were interested in him. Jordan was able to attract interest from University of Hawaii, Georgia Tech and Colorado State.

In the Case of Georgia Tech and Hawaii they both liked Jordan but did not have any Scholarships available. Gardner Webb showed great interest in Jordan from the beginning and they offered him a Scholarship straight away.

In the last 6 years there have been 6 players from Gridiron Australia member leagues to receive a Gridiron Scholarship to a Division 1 University.

Who will be next ?
