NSW Goalball are 2023 Winners!

Congratulations to NSW Goalball who have been named “Organisation of the Year” at the 2023 NSW Sports Awards which are NSW’s highest sports honours.

Bring it on Sports are proud to be working with NSW Goalball as their delivery partner since February 2023 assisting with the growth of the Goalball schools program – Goalball 4 Schools.  We look forward to continuing our partnership into 2024.

NSW Goalball were nominated as finalists together with 4 other sporting organisations – Basketball NSW, Football NSW, Gymnastics NSW and Volleyball NSW.  The winner was revealed at the prestigious rebel NSW Champions of Sport Ceremony at the International Convention and Exhibition Centre in Darling Harbour on Monday, 20 November 2023.  The award marks the first time a Blind Sport has been recognised as Organisation of the Year!

The sport of Goalball gives students the opportunity to experience what it would be like to play a sport with blindness or a vision impairment. This type of experience will give students the environment to develop empathy, resilience and to learn to utilise other senses such as hearing, touch and balance.
