Flag Football Secondary Schools Gala Days!
Flag Football is a non-contact version of the sport of American football where instead of tackling players to the ground, the defensive team must remove a flag or tag from the ball carrier. Flag Football offers students the opportunity to develop their physical, mental and social skills as well as their discipline. In addition, it will enable teachers to introduce a new sport to the school and provide variety to students.
2027 FLAG FOOTBALL SECONDARY SCHOOL GALA DAYS
GAME FORMAT
- 5 v 5 Flag Gridiron (5 players on the field at one time)
- Games are 20 minutes in duration
- Teams must have a minimum of 7 players and a maximum of 10 players
- 5 v 5 Flag Gridiron Rule book will be supplied once entry fees have been paid

Notes
- Under 15 – Minimum age 12 years and MUST NOT turn 16 in competition year
- Under 18 – Minimum age 14 years and MUST NOT turn 19 in competition year
- If a mixed team (boys and girls) is entered the team will compete in the appropriate aged boys division

This event brings together the top school teams from across our individual Gala Days for an exciting day of competition, teamwork and school pride with teams going head-to-head to compete for the title of Champion of Champions!
REGISTRATION CLOSING DATE – Registrations will close 2 weeks prior to each tournament. To register your school please fill out the following form. Once your form has been received an invoice will be issued to finalise your registration. Payment is required prior to the event.
